Vestis Services Warehouse Production - Team Lead Associate in Avondale, Arizona

Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Train new employees

  • Assist Management with monitoring employee performance and determining appropriate correction action

  • Aid in resolving daily issues and escalate issues as required

  • Provide guidance to the team based on Management direction

  • Assist management in quality audits of employees

  • Manage daily quality logs

  • Answer team questions related to quality issues or concerns

  • Coordinate workflow distribution

  • Work with functional team members to obtain necessary resources to meet team needs

  • Assist Management in coordinating employee work schedules and breaks

  • Assist Management in monitoring employee attendance

  • Maintain appropriate, required production records

  • Communicate miscellaneous production supply needs to management

  • Maintain an environment based on trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort

  • Lead by setting a good example; behavior consistent with words

  • Lead special projects as assigned

  • Assist with facilitating floor meetings

  • Work in a production capacity as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous leadership experience preferred

  • Experience in various warehouse positions with emphasis in shipping and receiving departments

  • Able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Able to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs 8-10hrs in a day

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to instruct/teach

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the workplace

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner and by set deadlines

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Ability to be equipment certified based on department needs, including forklift equipment

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (shifts/hours) with notice
