Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED) – Full-Time Nights for Texas Health Azle

Texas Health Azle’s Emergency Department is looking for a top skilled RN. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Azle: 108 Denver Trail Azle, TX 76020

Work hours: Full-Time (36hours) Night Shift, 3/12 hour shifts 7p - 7a

Texas Health Azle is a 36-bed, community-based hospital serving the tri-county area since the 1950s. We provide exceptional care to the suburban areas of Azle, Lake Worth, Springtown and surrounding areas.

We’re accredited through The Joint Commission for disease specific care of Chest Pain patients and we are accredited through the Texas Department of Health & Human Services as a Level IV Support Stroke facility, a Level IV Trauma Center and a Pathways to Excellence-designated hospital. We specialize in outpatient surgery, rehabilitative physical and hand therapy, and advanced imaging like mammography and CT scanning. We are a top choice in North Texas for emergency services, radiology services, rehabilitation and much more.

Here’s What You Need

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

  • Current RN licensure upon hire required

  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency

  • BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

  • ACLS – within 90 days required

  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire

  • PALS - within 90 days of hire

  • TNCC - within 12 months of hire

  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program

  • At least 1 year of ER or Critical Care experience preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient

  • Plans the care of the patient

  • Intervenes as appropriate

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
