**[RECEPTIONIST (VISITORS CENTER)

**[Definition:[ Responsible individual with administrative, organizational, recordkeeping, communication and computer skills. This job position is located at the Resource Managers Office.

**[Supervision:[ Receives general supervision and direction from the Project Superintendent.

  1. Handle all incoming phone calls which includes transferring to multiple extensions.
  2. If the Police or Sheriff Department are dispatched, they contact Rangers to meet up with them.
  3. Must be able to deal with the public and have excellent communication skills.
  4. Assist daily visitors with park information.
  5. Have computer skills which include basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel.
  6. Follow oral instructions, work independently and unsupervised.
  7. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

*[Extensive Knowledge of:[ administration, organizational, record keeping, communication and computer skills. *[Ability to:[ administratively maintain the everyday workings of the project office as outlined above.

[Education, Experience, Training, Licenses, and Certificates: [ Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.**

*[Education:[ Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must possess math and computer skills. *[Experience:[ Minimum of three years administrative skill experience preferred. **[License:[ Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid drivers license.

[ Working Conditions:[ 100% of time is working in the office. *[ Environmental Conditions/Hazards:[ None [ *Physical Conditions: Job requires ability to perform tasks on all areas and aspects of office administrative staff.

This position will work on an "As Needed Basis". Hours per week will never exceed 29.
