Job Summary:

As the President of the Bakersfield OpCo, you will lead all aspects of the business—sales operations, supply chain, talent, and logistics. Having responsibility for the P&L, you will build and execute a strategy that ensures the OpCo will meet all financial targets.

Compensation: $185,000 annual salary + 50% annual bonus and 30% long term incentive program opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess the overall performance for the designated territory and develop a business plan that will ensure continued top and bottom-line growth

  • Lead, develop and mentor a team of people, including sales, operations, supply chain, distribution, and finance

  • Clearly define significant opportunities within target markets and drive the team to ensure these opportunities are fully pursued

  • Establish strategic sales, marketing, compliance, and training programs to reach the customer base

  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base

  • Review reporting and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Review operating results of the OpCo, compare them to established objectives, and take steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results. Review analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine OpCo progress toward stated goals and objectives

  • Develop and execute a winning marketing plan and go-to-market strategy for new and existing product lines

  • Direct and participate in market development, including participation in industrial, trade, and specialty market shows

  • Collect and analyze market research, customer research, and competitive analysis

  • Leverage customer insights to identify business opportunities and product strategies

  • Propose projects that increase market share or create new categories of applications

  • Constantly monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks in order to recommend tactical strategies and direction

  • Establishes operating policies consistent with Core-Mark/PFG's broad policies and objectives and ensures their execution. Provide guidance, advice, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established policies.

  • Maintain sound public relations practices to improve the company's image and relationships with customers, associates, and the public. Promote and practice effective communication and adequate flow of information. Represents the organization with customers, associates, vendors, the financial community, and the public.

Required Qualifications:

12+ years of progressive distribution center leadership experience with experience in a director-level or above role

Demonstrated track record of setting annual business plan objectives, setting and achieving operational excellence performance standards, especially in a tight margin environment

P&L responsibilities for a large distribution center department

Earned a reputation within their own company as a leader for whom employees want to work

Led and developed a team of direct and indirect reports of 200+ people

Current President-level responsibilities at a similar distribution center
