ReSound Sustainability Engineering Coordinator in Ballerup, Denmark

As our new Sustainability Engineering Coordinator, you are a key contributor to the strategic planning of sustainability goals and objectives within the organization.

You will also drive innovation by researching and implementing new sustainable technologies, materials & processes to ensure sustainability is integrated in all stages of engineering projects, from conception and design to implementation and decommissioning. You will thereby, contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer.

The team you will be part of

At our global HQ, located in Ballerup, Denmark, you will join a global team of dedicated people who serves customers and co-develop tools and tactics to achieve the strategic objectives of Global Customer Experience (GCX).

GCX creates value for Jabra customers with engaged employees, personalized experiences, and sustainable solutions for next generation customer journeys across content, technical support, and Aftermarket Services.

You will report directly to the Head of Global Repair Solutions, Angela Gao, who is physically based in China.

You will work closely with project managers, AMS Sustainability Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure GN sustainability goals are met throughout the lifecycle of projects.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

  • Collaborate across various departments and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to sustainability.

  • Develop and coordinate sustainability activities in product programs and projects in alignment with the organization's sustainability goals.

  • Ensure products are designed for durability, reparability, and recyclability through collaboration with product design and engineering teams.

  • Establish partnerships with repair services, recycling facilities, and other stakeholders in the circular economy.

  • Research and implement new technologies and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of repair and recycling operations.

  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops on repair techniques and recycling best practices for employees and external partners.

To succeed in the role, we imagine that you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Some years of working experience in sustainability, waste management, or product lifecycle management – preferably within the headset and/or video industries.

  • A proven professional knowledge and experiences in sustainability areas, cost reduction associated with waste disposal, potential revenue generated from refurbished products and recycled materials, NPI processes and key points.

  • Proficiency in sustainability assessment tools and software.

  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and certifications related to recycling and waste management.

  • Excellent communication abilities and fluency in written and spoken English

  • Well-developed project-, and stakeholder management abilities by which you can collaborate across different departments and with external partners.

  • Knowledge of circular economy principles and practices.

  • Strong IT knowledge including good capabilities in Microsoft Office.

At a personal level, you can work independently, as well as in a team. You are analytical, structured, detailed orientated and deliver according to deadlines, securing accurate and timely reporting on sustainability metrics related to repair and recycling, with clear evidence of progress towards the organization's sustainability goals. Furthermore, you possess a positive-, team-orientated-, and customer centric mindset.

Since you are working in a truly international environment collaborating with colleagues and internal stakeholders across geographical borders, you should expect to travel approximately 10-30 days a year – which of course you will be able to plan in advance.
