Job Title: Animal Care Technician
Job Description
As an Animal Care Technician, you will be responsible for operating mechanical cage washing equipment, autoclaves, and other sanitizing equipment. Your role includes assembling and placing processed bedding, feed, and other related items into sanitized cages. You will maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, detergent and disinfectant use, as well as cage washer and autoclave performance tests. Additionally, you are expected to maintain adequate levels of cage wash chemicals and perform daily animal health observations along with other husbandry duties to maintain the quality and health of research animals. This includes daily checks and maintenance of water bottles or automatic water lines, providing appropriate food and water, and performing cage changing or cleaning as required.

This is a fully on-site position in Baltimore, Maryland.
Work Environment
Animal Research Lab with 1st shift openings. Must be okay with weekend work when needed. Shift timings are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
