Johns Hopkins University Research Technologist in Baltimore, Maryland
The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Research Technologist for the division of Neurosurgical Oncology. Under the general supervision of faculty investigator Chetan Bettegowda, the Research Technologist performs clinical and/or research laboratory experiments by following established procedures and protocols or with instruction. The Research Technologist will perform DNA/RNA extraction, PCR based analysis from these samples, run gels and quantify DNA and RNA and identification of mutations within the DNA and RNA samples.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct DNA/RNA extraction.
Perform PCR based analysis from DNA/RNA extraction samples.
Run gels and quantify DNA and RNA.
Identify mutations within the DNA and RNA samples.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some related post-undergraduate work experience preferred.

Starting Salary Range: $15.50 - $26.00 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)
