This position is for a physical therapy technician with cross training to assist with patient intake duties. The technician is responsible for assisting the physical therapist with patient care, cleaning, and organizing the treatment areas, along with assisting patient intake with the daily clerical and organizational tasks needed to maintain the front office of the assigned clinic.Responsibilities:•Assisting patients in and out of the clinic.•Assisting physical therapist with patient care and modalities.•Cleaning and organizing activities in the treatment areas.•Monitoring supplies and maintaining appropriate inventory.•Perform laundry duties.•Monitor equipment for safety.•Answering phones pleasantly and efficiently while taking accurate messages.•Accurately completing all new patient information and entering it into EMR.•Collecting patient copays.•Announce patients.•Assist with additional clerical duties as needed.Qualifications:The candidate must have verbal and written communication skills adequate for patient and therapist interactions as well as phone interactions. The candidate must demonstrate competency in computer data input and basic word processing skills. The patient intake associate must be able to work in a busy office environment and have strong organizational and people skills.
