Leads and oversees activities related to the establishment of finance policies and controls as well as general administration, and functional performance improvement across the entire function; also provides operations management with interpretive and predictive financial information to make business performance assessments and capital investment decisions through the use of sensitivity, pro forma and cause-and-effect analysis.
Chevron Venezuela Finance organization, located in Barcelona, Estado Anzoátegui, Venezuela, is accepting online applications for the position of Accounting Analyst. Successful candidate will join a team which oversees Petroindependencia Joint Venture with a workforce of more than 15 employees delivering financial services and solutions in Eastern Venezuela directly linked to the Chevron Venezuela organization.
This is a one-year fixed term position with possibility of remaining permanent.
Job Responsibilities:
Provides financial and accounting decision support for Petroindependencia Joint Venture, the selected candidate will perform Petroindependencia activities in a PDVSA environment.
Perform accounting activities for Petroindependencia Joint Venture.
Perform the monthly close processes into SAP (PC3).
Develops and maintains the necessary account mapping for Petroindependencia reporting and statutory accounts.
Prepare accounting processes: general accounting, intercompany, materials, fixed assets, account payables and treasury.
Support External Audits.
Provide inputs to Reporting team in charge of prepare company financial results.
Support Internal Control requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor´s degree in Accounting.
At least 5 years of experience in finance/accounting.
Strong analytical and SAP technical skills.
Must be proficient in English.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work in a crossed-discipline and diverse environment.
Teamwork and customer service focus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Agile, Excel modeling and Power MS applications experience is a plus.
