Chevron Venezuela is accepting online applications for the position Thermal Development Team Lead through June 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

Chevron is a 30% shareholder of PetroPiar (PP), the operator of the Huyaparí field, an extra heavy oil asset in the Venezuela heavy oil belt, with employees seconded to PP to support the affiliated company. The field have been developed with long cold horizontal wells and is transitioning to Cyclic Steam Development to extend field life and enhance recovery.

The Thermal Development Team Lead is an experienced facilities engineer with strong project management, leadership skills and safety culture. The Thermal Development Team Lead is responsible to manage a multidisciplinary team of SMES focused on designing the facilities and developing operational philosophy, to implement the cyclic steam project across the field. It is a challenging leadership position that shall be responsible for all FEED activities for the surface facilities and providing project management guidance to the project team, engineering design advice, factory model concept implementation, stakeholder management, interface management, quality assurances, project staffing.
