Vontier Sr Representative, Regulatory Affairs in Barueri-sp, Brazil
The Sr. Regulatory Engineer is responsible for new product approvals and maintenance activities in the LATAM market. This individual will act as the SME for regulatory affairs & compliance in new product development and sustaining activities and is a key member in support of our global regulatory strategy initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cross-functional teams, both local and international, drive continuous improvement and value on time delivery. They will be capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously, build relationships with key regulatory agencies, provide strategic oversight and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals. Additional capabilities include the ability to assess risks, manage issues and drive positive resolutions. Key Responsibilities: • Work with regulatory agencies, 3rd party test labs, and cross functional teams to provide new product approvals and maintain existing approvals throughout the product’s lifecycle; • Actively manage regulatory projects from RFQ to final certification and product labelling with a key focus for on time delivery; • Prepare reports to senior management regarding project status and key deliverables; • Establish effective working relationships with government and private agencies to drive product certifications and sustaining activities; • Act as regulatory and compliance SME for LATAM market; • Company liaison to gov and 3rd party agencies and primary contact for regulatory project related issues; • Support maintenance of regulatory files and databases to enable prompt and accurate access to regulatory information for new approvals and renewals; • Provide interpretations and impact of standards and regulations to cross-functional teams; • Participate in regulatory and/or standards panels as needed; • Participate in functional improvement projects; • Support our global regulatory strategy efforts; • Travel may be required, up to 25%; • Other duties as assigned;
Background and Skill
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience
· 8+ years prior experience working with Global Regulatory bodies. Knowledge of oil and gas regulatory requirements is preferred.
· Fluent in English and Portuguese or Spanish
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Attention to detail
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
· Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
