Job Title: Electronics Technician - willing to pay up to $30/hr
Job Description
Repair electronic drives, controllers, and PC boards. Troubleshoot and test electronic components to board level using various methods and testing equipment. Follow company procedures for requisitioning parts and repair or replace electronic components to board level.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and test electronic components to board level using various methods and testing equipment.
Follow company procedures for requisitioning parts.
Repair and/or replace electronic components to board level, including but not limited to: diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and other printed circuit components.
Verify repairs using start-up testing procedures.
Operate specialized equipment, including oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, high voltage insulation testers, AC/DC volt-ohm-milliammeters, clamp-on ammeters, various test panels, soldering equipment, infrared scanning equipment, and various kinds of hand-held power and non-power tools.
Document all test procedures and add them to the company's library.
Complete all paperwork and service reports on repaired jobs.
Keep work area neat and clean as directed by the supervisor.
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.
Essential Skills
Minimum 1+ year experience with soldering/desoldering electrical equipment.
2+ years experience with troubleshooting and testing PC boards.
Knowledge of Ohm's Law.
1+ year experience with electrical testing equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with assembly and disassembly.
Familiarity with and ability to utilize different types of test equipment such as function generators, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
Ability to recognize different electronic components and their functions.
Thorough understanding of electronic circuitry.

Work Environment
The facility is clean and air-conditioned on the electronics side. The motor repair side is a bit dirtier, and candidates should be comfortable getting their hands dirty. The team consists of 9 employees. The first shift runs from 7:30am-4pm, with up to 5 hours of overtime per week, including possible Saturdays. Attire requires steel-toe shoes and basic hand tools. Once permanent, employees will be provided with a shirt and pants. The environment is a mix of shop-type settings, with the electrical tech area being clean, organized, and temperature-controlled.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
