Job Description:
Under Working Supervision this position reports to the Maintenance Technician. The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties and responsibilities. This Job Description outlines the job expectations, responsibility, and the principal duties of a FLUOR Maintenance Technician. Below is a brief description of the work activities required of a FLUOR Maintenance Technician and in no way implies that these are the only duties required to be performed.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing electrical issues in machinery, equipment, and systems to identify faults.
• Repair and Maintenance: Performing routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance on electrical components, such as wiring, circuit breakers, and control panels.
• Installation: Installing new electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and equipment, following safety codes and standards.
• Testing: Conducting tests to ensure electrical systems are functioning correctly and safely, using tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Documentation: Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and reference.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to electrical safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaboration: Working with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate repairs and improvements.
Typical Minimum Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent preferred
• Minimum three (3) years of trade school education or global equivalent and job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Proven experience in a maintenance role with proficiency in multiple roles.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and construction principals.
• Ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings and manufacturers’ equipment specifications
• Knowledge of standard and specialized maintenance practices
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other employees of the organization
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Knowledge and experience with basic hand tools and test equipment
Working Conditions
• Generally favorable indoor/outdoor workspace, with facilities/manufacturing environment.
• Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
