Nike Lead, Product Operations, APLA Express Lane in Beaverton, Oregon

Who we are looking for

Our Business Operations Lead is responsible for operationalizing the FW/AP strategy, calendar management, and ensuring business objectives are met. In partnership with the GM and product creation leadership, they’ll shepherd the seasonal process and workload, build and maintain strong x-functional relationships, and provide experiences and guidance that enables a healthy business and team dynamics.

What you will work on

The Lead Product Operations drives product creation evolution & calendar/process discipline. You will support our Product strategy to amplify concepts, extend inline stories and capture trends. You’ll guide and influence the product creation process in collaboration with x-functional partners, and continuously seek out ways to improve process and capabilities of a multi-discipline creative team. You will create and implement tools that enable the Asia-Pacific and Latin-America (APLA) product creation team to create the world’s best products and will anticipate and resolve creative challenges by helping to identify solutions. You’ll manage seasonal and annual metrics in support of GM/Finance to analyze and improve on business results. You will plan and facilitate key leadership meetings, summits, offsites and /or travel.

Who you will work with

Our Lead Product Operations works closely with the rest of the APLA Leadership Team. As a unique set-up you will equally support both Footwear and Apparel product engines across the Product Management, Design and Development functions.

Part of the Nike Matrix you will also partner within APLA and Global with Operation, Product, Merchandising and Strategy.

You will be additionally partnering with the other GEL teams and will stay close to our Global Express Lane and APLA Finance partners.

What you bring

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates degree + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yr

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as part of a product creation team, footwear/apparel industry experience

  • Familiarity and understanding of operations processes including sourcing, manufacturing, development, materials

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Convincing communicator

  • Ability to work independently and being self-efficient as well as collaboratively, ultimate team player

  • Experience managing and facilitating collaboration among diverse skill sets, including designers, product managers, and developers

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexibility and tolerance for ambiguity

  • Strategist with the ability to imagine a better future and bring it to life

  • Strong negotiating skills and ability to resolve conflict

  • Project management experience preferred a plus

  • Ability to reliably navigate and thrive in a fast-paced environment
