SUMMARY

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will be responsible for receiving all incoming material and outgoing materials. They are required to enter all incoming materials as well as finished products into GP, Tellus Invoice Automation and SAP. The shipping and Receiving coordinators will also ensure the organization and cleanliness of the entire warehouse, racking and loading docks.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES :

  • Receive all shipments from freight carrier or shipper

  • This includes raw materials and bulk chemicals

  • Perform visual inspection when applicable and receive all items into Great Plains

  • Safeguard goods until they are delivered, or the original purchaser can pick them up

  • Assist in resolving any discrepancies as they arise with goods that need to be assigned to an account code

  • Receive all packing slips in Great Plains, Tellus Invoice Automation System and receiving log

  • Perform quick MOs in Great Plains for all raw material (fiber, chemicals, poly bags etc.)

  • Understand and perform transfers for all raw material

  • Ensure that the lot/batch number is recorded and entered correctly to ensure no gaps in Tellus’ traceability program

  • Track inventory levels for all raw material and ensure minimum inventory levels are met

  • Perform all shipping duties

  • Enter production into SAP

  • Create labels for outgoing items via UPS/FedEx

  • Produce and control all paperwork for outbound trucks/STO’s

  • Enter quick MOs in Great Plains for finished goods

  • Ensure the warehouse is organized to maximize efficiency

  • Must perform truck inspections for all incoming trucks and complete the corresponding forms (Vehicle Loading Report)

  • Load orders in an efficient and safe manner while also maintaining all quality standards for shipping

  • Ensure all pallets have a correct pallet ID tag on them before they are moved to the warehouse and entered in SAP

  • Perform daily fork-lift inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating conditions

  • Perform pallet inspections for all pallets that are received

  • Deliver materials that have been received to the correct departments

  • Always maintain a safe work environment

    QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Be flexible, reliable and well organized

  • Work and disciplinary record will be considered

  • Good verbal, reading, writing and basic math skills

  • Physically able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: sitting, walking, climbing, kneeling, lifting, reaching and pulling.

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and utility truck/trailer operation

  • Must be able to frequently lift 25 to 60 pounds

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential

  • Ability to provide flexible and adaptable work schedules

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned work

  • Knowledge of personal computer software applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Great Plains and SAP

    Wage: $23.34
