Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

The Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift maintains all ROHO equipment by performing preventative maintenance on equipment, inspecting and repairing all equipment, and assisting with any other special projects.

Our Equipment Maintenance department in Belleville, IL is now looking for a Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift.

Key Tasks

ENSURES OPERATION OF MACHINERY AND MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT BY:

Observing all equipment to assure proper operation of all systems and find possible failures; repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision-measuring instruments; performing preventive maintenance on equipment; repairing electrical equipment.

MANAGE EQUIPMENT DATABASE BY:

Maintaining written records for every piece of equipment; logging work done and failures in order to establish a predictive maintenance program.

ADJUSTS PARTS OF DEVICES AND CONTROL INSTRUMENTS BY:

Installing functional and structural parts on devices or equipment.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by:

Operating all machinery in a safe and efficient manner; reporting any safety hazards to assigned supervisor or safety manager; complying with all safety and quality policies, practices and procedures.

MAINTAINS QUALITY SERVICE BY:

Keeping error rates minimal and within acceptable ranges; maintaining an efficient work pace; meeting and exceeding all performance measurements: quantity, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed

    Your Background

  • Associates Degree from college or technical school or 3 to 5 years direct related experience or an equivalent combination

  • All maintenance tools (hand and power tools); welding and cutting equipment; meters; gauges; forklift; man lift; company truck

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents

  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database, activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
