Amazon Communications Specialist, PXT Communications, Global Operations in Bellevue, Washington

Amazon Global Operations PXT (GOPXT) is looking for a Communications Specialist to oversee content creation and administration of communication channels. The successful candidate will be organized, detail oriented, analytical, self-motivated, able to handle confidential information, as well as a demonstrated ability to respond to changing workloads and priorities. Must have the ability to communicate clearly and to manage multiple assignments and people simultaneously. Experience with content management, intranet content creation/management, and data analysis is a plus. The position will report to the Sr Comms Lead for Communications on the PXT3 Team.

Key job responsibilities

Curious and intuitive, you will help develop communications messaging and manage channels in partnership with leaders from Operations, HR, and internal communications. You will work with cross-functional partners on a wide range of business related and complex topics in a fast-paced operations environment. You will analyze data from strategic communications campaigns to help raise the bar on current campaigns, as well as propose new Think Big initiatives to align with strategic priorities of GOPXT. This role requires the ability to keep composure in fast-moving situations, embrace ambiguity and changing tides, be able to quickly get up to speed on complex issues, and anticipate stakeholder and customer questions/reactions.

A day in the life

You will oversee internal mechanisms, write and edit customer-facing materials, and support the content needs of team-owned channels. You will develop and execute strategies to continuously improve how we reach our internal audiences. You are always ready to step up beyond your core responsibilities and go the extra mile for the project and your team. You nimbly overcome barriers to deliver the best products more quickly than expected. You excel when interacting with business and technical partners. You are able to take complex and fast-moving information, and distill it into digestible information. You enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format. You will proactively implement improvements, enhancements, and customizations.

About the team

The PXT3 Comms team is one of three pillars of the PXT Transformation Team (PXT3). Our primary audience is L3+ PXT leaders within Global Ops PXT. Our mission is to build and scale an internal communications infrastructure with global reach and relevance - one that informs, empowers, and supports PXT leaders in their work to raise the bar for our frontline operations employees.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
