Amazon's "Last Mile" Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program is responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to households and businesses across the planet. Our finance team closely partners to support this rapidly expanding business while building a portfolio of delivery stations, vans, and technology to deliver customers' packages on time - often next day, sometimes faster. We augment our traditional "deliver by van" with other models including Amazon Flex (gig economy drivers), Amazon Lockers, and more - all designed to deliver smiles to our customers. Last Mile On-the-Road (OTR) Finance seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning as well as strategic initiatives for our Delivery Service Partners Program. As a Senior Financial Analyst on the Last Mile OTR Team, you will be pivotal to the team's success working on recurring financial and operational reporting, decision support, financial modeling for new initiatives, and payment disputes. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to our last mile delivery organization as we grow our delivery business rapidly. This role will provide extensive cross-functional partnership opportunities with finance stakeholders.

A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to innovate by building creative, socially responsible last mile logistics solutions through large-scale data driven decision making. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following abilities: they influence business owners, work well in an ambiguous environment, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment. They collaborate with senior leaders and various business units across Amazon. You bring excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • Delivers recurring reporting and analysis for the OTR program and deep dive analysis on costs. Supports forecasting and planning.

  • Support WW DSP Partner strategic initiatives through working with the program managers and/on project teams or independently on deep dives.

  • Identifies and implements solutions to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes.

  • Supports payment disputes

  • You work with a variety of data sources and identify incomplete or inaccurate data, identify root causes, escalate discrepancies, execute fixes, and partner on the resolution.

  • Uses financial systems and advanced MSExcel functions to work with large data sets.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication of data and analysis; can communicate in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjusts style for various audiences.

  • You can independently prioritize work, manage multiple priorities, resolve issues, and meet deadlines.

  • Contributes to work life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
