Temporal Technologies Inc Software Design Engineer in Bellevue, Washington
Job Title: Software Design Engineer (multiple positions available)
Job Description: Design, build, and maintain significant portions of our backend functionality for highly scalable multi-tenant services. Design and implement core backend service features. Provide appropriate test coverage unit, integration, performance for feature ownership area. Clearly document design choices and operational knowledge to successfully deploy and run service with those features. Provide appropriate service level logs and metric to make features operational for cloud service setup. Provide appropriate alerts, dashboards, and runbooks for production. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or the foreign degree equivalent and 2 years of experience working with cloud services. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or the foreign degree equivalent and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience working with cloud services. Experience must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Using computer science fundamentals in distributed systems concepts.
- Building systems with technologies, including Kafka, Cassandra, MySQL, and/or ElasticSearch.
- Building and running services on cloud environments and building cloud services using Kubernates and Docker.
- Developing software utilizing Golang programming language.
- Utilizing DevOps and observability technologies, including Prometheus and Splunk.
- Working with git and databases (Dynamo DB).
- Building CICD deployment pipelines for build and release automation.
- Building high scale multi-threaded and asynchronous services and highly available/highly durable services which span across multiple data centers/availability zones.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
SALARY: $182,312 per year to $195,500 per year.
