Job Description Summary:

As part of the Cat MineStar implementation team, you will have the opportunity to learn and assist with the deployment of our different MineStar technology products – including Command for Hauling, Dozing and Drilling (autonomy), Fleet, Terrain, Health, Edge, DSS, Reporting and others. During the implementation you will assist with defining the mining site infrastructure, including setting up servers, installing and configuring the MineStar products, as well as performing system upgrades when a new release is available. Visits to mining sites may also occur during the implementation and upgrades.

What you will do:

  • Perform system implementations, assist with project management process, and development assignments with limited supervision; normally assigned all aspects of the systems project work.

  • Works directly on application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding directly to dealers and customers.

  • Work independently on customer site with medium-large size systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems.

  • Implement system modules to specification and configures components based on requirements gathered from customers' business analysis.

  • Perform integrated testing and support customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results.

  • Knowledgeable of the MineStar product and able to set up the complete system with limited help to meet the commercial contract and site-specific needs to run their operation.

  • Provide implementation technical training to end users and system administrators.

  • Perform implementation and integration tasks for internal and external customers.

  • Assist dealers and customers with documentation, training, and functional specifications.

  • Provide training on our standard implementation processes across our global Implementation teams.

  • Capable of upgrading current MineStar sites independently.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Field Support: Knowledge of and experience with providing post-sales support; ability to support maintenance of hardware products.

Basic requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferably in Mining, IT and related areas

  • 3+ years of experience in mining, technology, or business analytics.

  • Pre advanced English

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Advanced Spanish

  • Knowledgeable of the relevant programming languages; computing hardware, software, infrastructure elements, and current development processes and tools.

  • Knowledge of mining Fleet Technology, Caterpillar policies, procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar’s organization.

  • Previous Cat MineStar System knowledge.

  • Database/SQL Server Management knowledge.
