CITY OF BELOIT Administrative Assistant I in BELOIT, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of Beloit has an exciting employment opportunity with the Community Development Department as the Administrative Assistant I. The duties described below are indicative of what an Administrative Assistant I might be asked to perform. The responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant I include, but are not limited to, providing administrative and clerical support to the Community Development Department staff including the Community Development Director, Deputy Community Development Director or the Director of Planning and Building Services. This position serves as the main point of contact for the department. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. 2. Must have a valid motor vehicle operator\'s license or the ability to otherwise meet the transportation needs of the position. 3. Associate Degree in secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting or related field is highly desired. 4. A minimum of 2 years of customer service, bookkeeping, cash handling and/or other technical experience is required with a preference for experience in community service or housing services fields. 5. Ability to obtain and maintain a notary public commission in the State of Wisconsin.
