Job Title: 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician responsible for performing mid to expert level repairs, preventative maintenance (PM), fabrication, rearrangement, and installation of equipment and systems. You will also perform tests and repair electrical circuitry and controls using schematics, manuals, and written documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mid to expert level repairs and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.

  • Fabricate, rearrange, and install equipment and systems.

  • Conduct tests and repair electrical circuitry and controls using schematics, manuals, and written documentation.

  • Move machines, take them apart, relocate, and reassemble them.

  • Troubleshoot and install equipment as necessary.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience preferred.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and machine repair.

  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine repair.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Effective communication skills for presenting information and responding to questions.

  • Proficiency in interpreting a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Mathematical skills including the ability to calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

  • Basic algebra and geometry skills.

  • Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting with limited information.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Equivalent experience and education will be considered.

  • Ability to solve practical problems in troubleshooting situations.

Work Environment

This position offers a clean and temperature-controlled environment in one of the cleanest manufacturing shops you'll ever see. The facility is well organized with two levels. Pay ranges from $29.50-$33.00 plus a 10% shift differential for the 3rd shift for Maintenance Technicians, and $33.50-$36.50 plus a 10% shift differential for Maintenance Machine Repair Technicians (Electricians).

This is a Permanent position based out of Freeport, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $61360.00 - $68970.00/yr.
