Amazon Finance Manager, WW Ops Finance - CF Support in Bengaluru, India

Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to help lead and oversee Real Estate and Engineering (RE&E) function for Amazon India Operations.

Amazon's Customer fulfillment network is growing fast and this is a great opportunity for a Finance leader to learn about Operations and make a big impact.

RE&E Finance Manager will focus on business partnering, strategic decision support, financial controllership and cost reduction. This person will partner with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to this high-growth organization. This role requires extensive cross-functional partnership with various fulfillment, transportation and finance teams to identify strategic investment opportunities, best practices across the network and lead cost improvement efforts.

The Manager will also lead long term strategic planning, annual planning, variance analysis for monthly/quarterly business reviews, and ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build financial analysis models driving operational decisions across the Amazon network

  • Working on cost out initiatives- Working on long range plan, annual budgets etc

  • Operations planning and cost planning for the Network

  • Monthly Variance Analysis & reporting

  • Evaluate and improve methodologies that are the core of our business models and tools

  • Collaborate with operations personnel to drive process, productivity improvements and cost savings initiatives

  • Manage the Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly results reporting

  • Facilitate financial review meetings with key partner business groups

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience

  • 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience

  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
