Oracle Database Test Development at IDC (Location: Bangalore)The DB-Test Development teams instrumental in ensuring that world’s leading database meets the stringent scalability, reliability/security, availability, and performance requirements that are critical to the success of thousands of customers worldwide. The different IDC DB-Test Development teams, in collaboration with US/Global counterparts, are actively involved in the design and development of best-of-breed testing strategies, paradigms, framework, tools and customer simulations that assure and enhance DB product quality manifold. For a complex and extremely widely used product like Oracle Database, it is a serious, but fun filled challenge to foresee customer expectations, simulate real life problems, and develop tests, test infrastructure/frameworks to ensure that customers get the highest quality database. Database Test and Tools Development team plays a significant role in ensuring Highest quality and timely release of Oracle Autonomous Database.Be a part of the Database Security group to work on industry leading security solutions for Oracle Database and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Who do we need? B.Tech/M.Tech./MS in Computer Science from a reputed university (only top NITs / IITs/ BITS /IIITs)

  1. 3+ years of industry experience.

  2. Must be good in developing applications, framework and tools development.

  3. Must have experience in development using PL/SQL or C, C++, Python or Java.

  4. Solid Data Structure and Algorithms understanding.

  5. Knowledge of one or more of the commercial relational databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:


  • Participate in functional testing and automation of DB Security products and features

  • Participate in performing security testing

  • Participate in performing cloud testing

  • Develop new security testing tools

  • Participate in project/feature reviews, test specifications and test code reviews

  • Design and develop test specifications based on functional specifications

  • Automate and maintain tests and regressions

  • Create test frameworks and internal test tools

  • Work with teams across geographies and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment

Qualifications:


  • B.Tech/M.Tech/MS in Computer Science or related experience

  • 2+ years of Enterprise Software Testing and Automation experience

  • Good Data Structures and Algorithms knowledge, object-oriented programming

  • Python, C/C++ knowledge

  • Desirable - PL/SQL and relational DB knowledge

  • Desirable - Experience of testing scalable, high performance Enterprise Software

  • Strong analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong background in working in highly automated product test environments

  • Good to Have - Experience in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration testing using industry standard tools such as Vulnerability Scanners for e.g. Qualys, Nessus,WebInspect, Acunetix, Metaexploit,Burp Suite Pro, Netsparker etc.

  • Good to Have -Experience and knowledge of Web Application Security standards such as OWASP/SANS etc.

  • Good to Have - Experience in performing security testing.

  • Good to Have - Experience in analysing and in identifying the vulnerabilities.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements - Internal

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 2 years of software engineering or related experience.
