Job Description

This is a ‘Senior Member of Technical Staff’ position within the 'Database test & tools development' group. We are responsible for developing software test plans, automation, applying and maintaining quality standards for Cloud and on-premise database releases for various platforms, with adherence to both internal and external standards. Test development requires good understanding of Python, Perl,Shell,Unix/Linux internals, storage technologies, security, DBA activities. And these tests on farm depict typical customer or cloud environments.

The candidate will be a member of a team that consists of automation experts, with a strong track record of consistently delivering high quality results.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

  • Should be from reputed colleges/universities.

  • 4+years of experience in QA methodologies and test automation.

Technical skills

  • Expertise in Python, Perl, Shell scripting.

  • Exposure working in framework design or enterprise level product or tools development.

  • Good understanding of Oracle Database and RDBMS concepts.

  • Good understanding of Linux/Unix. Exposure on one or more Unix/Linux porting technology is desirable.

  • Good understanding in testing/QA methodologies (functional,system,performance) and test automation.

Soft Skills

  • Should enjoy product test development, observant and curious.

  • An attitude to automate repeating tasks and work discipline.

  • Passionate for the work and flexible to switch between projects.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications/databases, tools. And also specify, implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet the changing needs.
