Amazon Coordinator, Catalog Operations – Quality Control & Affiliations Management - 24 Month Contract in Berlin, Germany

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Based in Berlin, Audible GmbH is looking for a Coordinator, Catalog Operations to support various editorial and operational processes needed in order to efficiently publish and update Audible's catalog metadata. In this position, you will work as part of a team that accurately enters, edits, and maintains metadata, audio assets and image art for all products. You will focus on quality control and affiliations management through complete and accurate data entry of all product metadata, which includes utilizing a variety of tools to quickly and thoroughly research various ad-hoc requests.

This position is a 24 month fixed-term contract.

As a Coordinator, Catalog Operations – Quality Control & Affiliations Management, you will immerse yourself in...

  • Catalog Updates and Ticketing: Perform, process and verify daily metadata update and correction requests received from providers, customers, and internal stakeholders via tickets or other sources, and ensure that requests are answered appropriately and in due time

  • Affiliations Management: Enhance customer discovery by creating, verifying and updating product relationships such as Category Assignments, Series Affiliation (e.g. linking works in a trilogy), Title Authority (grouping different versions of works together) or Contributor Authority (bibliography)

  • Post-Production Quality Control: Monitor and act on regular reports to 1.) ensure timely audiobook releases across Amazon and Audible services with accurate and complete metadata, and 2.) ensure up-to-date metadata throughout the products’ lifecycles

  • Process/Workflow Improvement & Documentation: Envision, articulate, implement, and document streamlined processes and workflows; foster alignment across (inter)departmental teams for maximized standardization across metadata-related workflows; weigh risks and gains to drive change

Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, and either German, Italian, Spanish or French

  • Prior experience in data entry or proofreading

  • Prior experience in quality control/assurance

  • Experience with Windows operating environment, fluency in Outlook and MS Word

  • Excel experience, using advanced features such as pivot tables and vlookup

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.A./B.S. or equivalent degree, preferably in Humanities

  • Highly organized and demonstrated focused attention to detail

  • Additional language skills in other languages, such as German, Italian, Spanish, French or Portuguese

  • Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

  • An avid consumer of media, including books/periodicals (audio and digital reader), websites, blogs, and other digital content sources
