JOB REQUIREMENTS: WHAT YOU WILL DO. Repair, rebuild, and/or replace various parts as needed on a variety of equipment and vehicles, ranging from chainsaws to large trucks and tractors, including: Engines. Powertrain components, such as transmissions, differentials, transfer cases, clutches, and drive shafts. Hydraulic components, such as hydraulic cylinders, valves, and pumps. Steering components, such as power steering, tie rods, steering gear boxes, drag links, and idler arms. Brake components, such as brake shoes, air brake chambers, valves, drums and rotors, and heavy equipment tracks. Carburetors, alternators, starters, distributors, generators, and solenoids. Install new equipment, including snowplow frames, underbody scrapers, wiring lights and hydraulic systems. Maintain vehicles by performing general maintenance and safety checks, including changing oil, lubricating parts, changing tires, etc. Troubleshoot field services calls to repair in the field, or transport back to the shop for repair. Additional duties as needed. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR. High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid Class \"B\" Commercial Driver\'s License by date of hire required. Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation drug screening. 2+ years of experience working in the field of mechanics preferred. Ability to read blueprints and electrical charts.
