The main purpose and function of the Logistics Coordinator is to facilitate coordination between production, sales and distribution enabling an efficient and high-quality supply chain.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Review purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy.

  • Count inventory weekly and reconcile.

  • Manage distribution and shipment budgets.

  • Prepare bills and invoices.

  • Track and fix shipping errors.

  • Develop processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.

  • Support Logistic Specialist and Shipping and Receiving Associate as needed.

  • Mitigate customer problems as they occur or escalate as necessary.

  • Coordinate the dispatch of truck orders.

  • Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • One to two years’ logistics experience preferred.

  • Two to five years’ experience working in inventory management preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, written and collaboratively through numerous workplace methods.

  • Attention to detail and highly organized.

  • Problem solving skills: ability to identify source of problem; execute solution and document the issue; escalate to management.

  • Multi-task oriented.

  • Forklift experience a plus.

Physical and Safety Requirements:

  • Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.

  • Able to lift 25 lbs.

  • Generally, work in office environment.
