Aerotek Electrician in Birmingham, Alabama
Description:
Service Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks. Your job will involve troubleshooting electrical and lighting malfunctions, repairing electrical issues, LED retrofits, servicing illuminated signs, repairing parking lot lighting systems and installing electrical wiring in commercial buildings. Electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions, electrical code and project details. The ideal candidate must be experienced in troubleshooting electrical issues.
Responsibilities
• Execute plans of electrical wiring, lighting, and other electrical systems
• Install electrical components (e.g., switches, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
• Service lighting in multiple applications (parking lots, signs, offices, etc.)
• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
• Replace old wiring and insulated cables
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair
• Ability to troubleshoot common electrical issues
• Ability to work at various heights (ladder, bucket truck, etc.)
• Ability to work mostly unsupervised
• Experience operating lifts and bucket trucks
• 3 years’ experience in the electrical field
