Robert Half Sales Assistant in Birmingham, Alabama

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sales Assistant role in the industry located in BIRMINGHAM, Alabama, 35234-2357, United States. The role primarily entails managing assigned client accounts, communicating with clients to place and confirm orders, and updating clients as required.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a group of client accounts, ensuring all their needs are addressed effectively

• Communicate with clients on the phone to place and confirm orders

• Update clients on the progress of their orders

• Use CRM to track, manage and analyze customer interactions and data

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook for data management and communication

• Handle any complaints or issues raised by clients, directing them to the appropriate department if needed

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and offer solutions

• Assist in the closing processes of sales transactions

• Ensure all cash activities are accurately recorded and handled

• Liaise with the C-suite and other key stakeholders on important updates and information. Requirements • Proficiency in CRM platforms

• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software

• Ability to handle cash activity

• Experience in closing processes

• Proficiency in complaint handling

• Ability to communicate effectively with the C-Suite

• High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred

• Previous experience in a sales role is a plus

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems quickly

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities

• Solid problem-solving capabilities

• Knowledge of sales principles and customer relationship practices

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary

• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
