Hybrid - (required to be in office at least 3 days: Tuesday, Wednesday and other day of choosing)

Summary:

The Stars and Risk Adjustment Operations Senior Advisor will report to the Stars and Risk Adjustment Managing Director and will be responsible for internal and external team communications and Chief of Staff duties. This role will be responsible for supporting the development of business strategy, aggregating and synthesizing regulatory/external industry analysis, partnering with various functions across the business to drive strategic planning, management process, business communications, and employee engagement. This role will manage business inputs into ELT and SLT presentations, Strategy Playbooks, and other enterprise strategy processes. This role will assist in the management process for the leadership team, including facilitating leadership meetings and special projects as needed.

The successful candidate for this role will be a self-starter, intellectually curious, and bring the ability to transform various developments and actions into a synthesized set of business updates and strategies for a senior executive-level audience. Ideally this high-potential candidate uses this role as a stepping-stone to roles with broader responsibility and more expansive business ownership.

Responsibilities:

Stars and Risk Adjustment Chief of Staff

  • Act as a connection point between business leadership across the other lines of businesses, stakeholders, and matrix partners (ex. Clinical, Compliance, Operations, Growth, Finance, etc.), providing proactive identification of opportunities and issues that could impact the successful execution of commitments.

  • Support critical Government Business Segment (GBS) projects, coordinating with Stars and RA leadership to compile input and deliverables needed to hit all major milestones on-time.

  • Partner with Communications and the GBS Chief of Staff to support the development and execution of the communications plan, including town halls, emails, etc. to ensure all levels of the organization are familiar with the business strategy, as well as understand our progress/results and how each individual is connected to achieving the business’ goals.

  • Develop deep understanding of businesses to inform strategy, actions needed from the team and highlight/enable enterprise engagement efforts for leadership.

  • Regularly monitor performance to goals though collecting data to report status on Stars and RA success metrics, including internal initiatives along with vendor programs.

  • Oversee Stars and RA budget preparation and monitoring in coordination with leadership team and financial controllers, focusing primarily on OpEx management through vendor spend and staffing needs.

  • Support IT Portfolio process:

  • Work with Stars and RA leadership team to scope out IT-related projects/initiatives for portfolio review.

  • Load all IT-related projects/initiatives into Pathfinder.

  • Coordinate with IT to ensure business needs are achieved.

  • Aggregate and synthesize regulatory/external industry analysis and serve as initial point of contact for compliance on CMS notices possibly impacting Stars and RA.

  • Drive a culture of accountability and measurement, not only with leadership team but throughout entire Stars and RA team.

Stars and RA Special Projects

  • Lead Stars and RA Special Projects oversight, from intake and analysis to solutioning and execution.

  • Partner with Stars and RA leaders to educate, mitigate, and create support plan for short-term and longer-term critical projects and key initiatives.

  • Track and report status of short-term and longer-term projects and executive summary of all key initiatives.

  • Strategize with matrix partner leaders to identify opportunities for collaboration and scope out potential cross-business projects.

Stars and RA Internal and External Communications Lead

  • Lead employee engagement focus, including recognition opportunities and communication planning.

  • Contribute in development of Change Management plan for significant changes across Stars and Risk Adjustment. Assist with the planning & production of communication materials.

  • Maintain meeting cadence. Schedule, draft agenda and gather materials for Stars and RA team meetings and Medicare leadership meetings:

  • Seniors Business Operating Review Monthly Meeting

  • Quarterly Town Hall

  • Weekly Directs Meeting

  • Annual Strategy Meeting

  • Quarterly Goals Review Meeting

  • Other meetings as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s or Master's degree and or equivalent work experience, highly preferred.

  • 5 or more years of Medicare project and team management experience

  • Track record of managing and leading groups focused on improvement, insights, strategy, and execution (direct leadership or leadership through projects)

  • Ability to quickly build relationships and influence across the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to execute complex projects and operational processes in a matrixed environment

  • Strong communication & information sharing skills (oral and written). Excellent presentation skills that encompass clear, compelling communications. Proven detail orientation.

  • Proven experience working with senior leaders, facilitating discussions, speaking with courage, and driving action.

  • Ability to work effectively in entrepreneurial, fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Must balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines
