TEKsystems Hiring Now: Health Benefits Member Advocate in Bloomington, Minnesota

Join a Large Health Benefits provider here in the twin cities!

Job Description:

This person will be the first call from both providers and members. The call could be a provider if the plan is within coverage and vice versa to members. There will be calls helping to navigate the platform. These people will not be licensed so they will not be able to give advice or direction to someone asking for advice for a health plan. They will kick that call to a benefits advisor.

  • Go above and beyond to provide the member or provider with a simple and seamless experience.

  • Courteously respond to member and provider inquiries via inbound call or email.

  • Determine the best way to resolve member and provider inquiries by asking probing questions and making appropriate recommendations based on health insurance product path and program.

  • Correctly communicate claims and benefits information from designated internal platform(s) to further assist with caller’s inquiries.

  • Demonstrate empathy and active listening in each interaction with the caller.

  • Accurately document all interactions within our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform with clarity and professionalism.

  • Collaborate with additional third-party entities, navigators/brokers, and internal departments to assist with caller’s needs.

  • Be willing to maintain a flexible work schedule, based upon the needs of the business. This may include early morning, evening, or weekend hours during the Open Enrollment season.

Main Position Details:

Start: 7/08

Pay: $22.00/Hour

Training: 6 weeks in length, standard hours

Schedule: Must be available Mon – Sun 7:00am – 7:00pm (8-Hour Shift). Weekend availability needed only during open enrollment season.

Location: Near NE Main St & Hennepin Ave

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma / GED required - Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of call center experience

  • 1+ years of health care knowledge or experience.

  • Strong preference given to candidates with previous health insurance experience
