The Sr. Continuous Improvement Manager can work anywhere in the United States, but requiring up to 50% travel, and is responsible for providing transformational engineering leadership in data analytics to improve safety, quality, and manufacturing performance. This high visibility role will be focused on the technologies and processes that ensure thorough and timely delivery of data/analytics to drive improvement across the manufacturing network. This person works in close partnership with Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Information Technologies, and Finance to bring data to the forefront to deliver solutions to complex, enterprise-wide opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develops strategic roadmap to connect data streams in a way that enables a holistic understanding of loss across Supply Chain

  • Delivers data/analytics to the right person at the right time to enable quick and accurate decision making, subject matter expert for data analytics and reporting

  • Leverages industry leading technologies for the development of data visualization and trending (i.e., Power BI dashboards)

  • Develops standard processes for analyzing data, identifying top loss opportunities, and development of strategic improvement plans

  • Owns developing, implementing, and improving overall improvement programs at the site and business level including new processes and/or technologies

  • Partners with IT to identify software improvements across the manufacturing network

  • Oversees the use and rigor of standard improvement methodologies (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, problem solving, etc.)

  • Works closely with Finance and IT to assure data systems are thorough, accurate and timely

  • Works with each business unit and R&D to define operational targets including processing parameters and performance criteria, represents manufacturing in the development of GSC-wide scorecards, analytics, reporting, etc.

  • Mentor, coaches and train employees on how to make improvements using data and data analysis (statistical methods) and other improvement methods

  • Empowers employees to propose and justify improvements by determining financial saving and project prioritization based on time, labor and financial investment

  • Participates in cross-functional teams on major improvement opportunities to streamline data and analytics

  • Plays a strong part in the planning process associated with GSC performance; provides subject matter expertise in support of improvement planning and completes data analysis to support the planning

  • Leads, sponsors, or participates in improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and non-value-add work utilizing standard practices such as Lean, Six Sigma, and problem solving

  • Demonstrates project management and change management proficiency by defining project requirements and milestones, tracking progress, resolving problems, communicating progress, and recommending / executing actions

  • Be responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

    Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a preferred degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering

  • Experience in Food Manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods. Experience with USDA, FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations

  • Experience using analytics and reporting tools such as Minitab and Power BI.

  • SAP user experience

  • Leadership of structured problem-solving approaches such as Lean, Six-Sigma, or TPM

  • Development and use of statistical models and data analytics.

  • The ability to travel 25%, for both plant visits and other special circumstances
