Wastewater Collections
Operator
Under the supervision of the Field Services Director the position performs a variety of tasks involving the general operation and maintenance of the District's sewer collection system and related facilities and equipment.
Duties may include, but are not limited
to:

Operating & troubleshooting problems using a TV Truck, related camera, and equipment to inspect wastewater
lines.
·
Operating a combination unit jet
truck.
·
Inspecting, maintaining, and conducting routine tests on the interiors of wastewater lines and pump
stations.
·
Removing and inspecting manhole covers and
manholes.
·
Reading maps, and construction drawings and following instructions in establishing routes and work
schedules.
·
Maintaining records and logs, completing reports as necessary, and working with the Engineering Department to ensure accuracy.
·
Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Field Services and/or the General
Manager.
Requirements
include:
·
U.S. work
authorization.
·
A pre-screen drug test and driver's license check are
required
·
High school diploma or
GED.
·
Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, peers, contractors, and members of the general public, under varying circumstances.
·
Available to be on call, work overtime if required, and to respond to emergencies with diverse operational
demands.
·
A valid Utah driver's license. Within 30 days of hire must obtain a temporary CDL license. Within 90 days a permanent Class B CDL license with a current medical card and tanker and air brakes endorsements.
·
Must obtain a Wastewater Collection Systems Grade I Certification within twenty-four (24) months of
hire.
