CCO Chief of Staff – Commercial Function CCO - Strategy & Innovation Role – Req 2544227

What the day will look like

Strategy

Lead the Commercial strategic planning process to align the vision and future state for Latam, adapting the strategic direction to performance management, people management challenges in Latam to ensure we realize our vision.

  • support and lead the development of strategic plan for Commercial in Latin America, partnering closely with countries and subregions, and our global Commercial organization with the main goal to support and lead the execution of our strategic plan.

  • responsible for overseeing all strategic and tactical initiatives of Commercial in LatAm, coordinating priorities that support growth plans, driving and supporting the implementation of various projects, and acting as a liaison with other LatAm business partners for example Finance team on business performance.26

    • Coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives approved for the Region/Subregions that are presented at the Regional level (Latin America) or at the Global leadership level, adjusting them to local reality where applicable and needed;

    • Work with CCO LATAM to set strategic priorities and execute them through a broad range of stakeholders;

    • Support Latam Commercial team leaders on the development, planning and monitoring of key strategic initiatives for the planning schedule.

    Commercial

    • Support the execution of 3x3 Plan, with a broader focus on leveraging Commercial priorities in the region.

    • Work closely with Commercial Subregion teams on identifying opportunities to meet new revenues across Latam through integrated solutions and sales strategy.

    • Lead integration and build connections with subregions leaders to drive alignment of strategy and project delivery on critical cross-functional projects. Identify areas where closer integration and communication across teams will drive value.

    • Drive continuous knowledge sharing and best practices across project teams during integration implementation to ensure value is realized. Drive change management and communication activities to promote a culture and mindset of innovation and integration across Aon.

    Innovation

    • Identify market opportunities for innovation and solution development, supporting closely the business case approval at regional or country level (collaborating with geo leadership);

    • Identify opportunities around new/emerging solutions at scale

    • Lead high impact, cross-functional innovation pilot and project teams of strategic importance. Ensure projects have detailed plans and that they deliver on their value proposition, timelines, and budget.

    • Define measures of success, reporting, project selection, definition, and prioritization. Develop and manage the Aon innovation ideation and project assessment process so that we access the best ideas possible to address our most important strategic imperatives while fully engaging our colleagues.

      Others

    • Support CCO LATAM in its objectives including, but not limited to, managing withing the Helix Model, Aon United agenda and delivery of Aon’s value proposition.

    • Provide analysis, monitoring, building business cases and recommended solutions/options regarding decisions to be made or problems to be solved;

    • Monitor business and financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement;

    • Support the preparation of briefings and reports for various internal and external audiences;

    • Ensure preparation and follow-up of the CCO LATAM team meetings, including producing briefing materials, minutes, and close monitoring of the actions and deadlines agreed with the teams

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    • Deep understanding of business environment in Latin America, trends and macroeconomic factors impacting our business.

    • Prior exposure to P&L management and solid financial acumen.

    • Ability to communicate and connect easily; and to deal with complex, ambiguous, and fast-changing situations.

    • Goals and deadline orientated;

    • Self-driven and motivated, with an ability to show initiative in all situations.

    • Strong confidentiality and able to work/deal with highly sensitive information.

    • Analytical capabilities and critical thinking to drive strategic insights to improve the business.

    • Team player, able to identify required skills in an inclusive and diverse team and distribute workload accordingly and monitor progress.

    • Educated to university degree level.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Fluent in Spanish and English.

    • Relationship capital: Builds and maintains deep client relationships at the executive level across multiple buying centres, and uses that capital to understand objectives, influence client thinking, and create results

    • Consulting skills: Identifies client needs and clearly articulates the problem to be solved; recognizes challenges and barriers to solving them and assembles internal resources to achieve the desired client outcome

    • Sales Experience

    • Strong understanding of the Region in terms of business i.e. market forces, business drivers

    • Deep understanding of regional context, trends and macroeconomic factors

    • Upholds and demonstrates Leadership values

    • Creative, innovative thinker able to translate strategic concepts into solid business executable growth opportunities
