Job Summary: The Site Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of multiple assigned projects from concept to turn-key. Coordinate schedules and services, manage budgets and ensure all work is performed skillfully, efficiently and within the timeline as per the estimate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Management Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision and leadership over the Project Manager Assistants (PMA), Administrative Assistant, or other direct reports.

Project Management:

  • Oversee pre-job planning; ensure a consistent Plan of the Day (POD)

  • Review estimates, contracts, plans, and specifications

  • Manage project schedule including all manpower needs

  • Develop job set up, budgets, and submittals

  • Purchase order job related materials, equipment, or services

  • Review risk assessment, safety requirements, and installation procedures

  • Manage materials, equipment, and manpower

  • Plan, coordinate, and direct multiple projects

  • Coordinate and manage all phases of construction process from conceptual to close-out

  • Daily production reports and tracking production goals

Estimating:

  • Understand and interpret specifications and RFP's

  • Develop the bid strategy

  • Seek out bid opportunities; network with customers, vendors, and engineers

  • Estimate and/or price out estimates from the Estimating Department

  • Manage bid board and update bid log tracking

  • Build, update, and track project budgets; cost control management

  • Communication with all parties to insure a successful outcome

Project Accounting and Documentation:

  • Respond to or create Request for Information (RFIs)

  • Generate monthly billing, WIP and work off schedule in a timely manner

  • Review weekly job progress for percentage to complete

  • Review and maintain schedule of values and cost at completion, etc.

  • Review invoices for proper pricing and cost codes

  • Oversee delivery of materials, tools, and equipment

  • Oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control measures

  • Change management: execute Change Orders (Cos), contract modifications, PCO's, etc.

  • Update electronic files and ensure proper information is entered into Viewpoint

  • Review and approve weekly timecards for proper cost codes

  • Execution of all project close out requirements

EHS/Quality:

  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment

  • Establish and communicate job specific safety protocols and material submittals

  • Communicate needs with Regional EHS Manager

  • Ensure Pre-Job/Safety Kick-Off is completed on each assigned project

  • Solicit regular safety related feedback from job sites

  • Enforce company and site-specific safety policies

  • Track safety related issues and statistics

  • Leadership:

  • Demonstrate and promote company core ideology, mission, vision, and values

  • Mentor and develop direct reports

Other Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned as the business need arises.

  • Attend all meetings as requested.

  • Travel As Necessary

Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years in the construction industry (Combination of education and work experience acceptable)

  • Good computer skills with MS Office products such as: Excel and Word

  • Ability to learn new software quickly and accurately.

  • Excellent math and reading skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills for employees of all levels

  • Highly organized, efficient time management, excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, priority setting, and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to follow company policy, procedures, and adhere to company values and culture.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or related field

  • Proficient with Viewpoint and MS Project software

  • 10 - 15 years in a similar position
