Amergis Per Diem Mental Health Tech in Bonsall, California

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision for clients, ensuring their safety and building rapport.

  • Assist clients in group activities and handle individual problems.

  • Set limits for behavior and document client progress.

  • Communicate with professional staff regarding potential need for additional services.

  • Contribute to the environment of care.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain awareness of assigned residents’ whereabouts and activities.

  • Ensure client safety through verbal de-escalation and crisis prevention techniques.

  • Support daily schedules, including chores, meal service, and activities.

  • Document shift notes for individual clients.

  • Supervise medication administration and compliance.

  • Provide transportation for community outings.

  • Stay current on required certifications.

Details:

  • Locations: Vista and Bonsall

  • Schedule: Per Diem

  • Shifts: PM 3p-11p or NOC 11p-7a

  • Pay: $20-23hr

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or sociology preferred.

  • Prior work experience in behavioral health treatment settings with young adults is a plus but not required.

  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

  • Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency program when applicable

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site

  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required

  • Computer proficiency required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks
