Boston University DATA ANALYST II, School of Medicine, Genetics, Molecular Med in BOSTON, Massachusetts
This full-time position requires computer programming, data analysis, and machine learning skills. The successful candidate will develop and implement various bioinformatics analysis strategies for multiple ongoing and emerging epidemiology, genetics and genomics projects in Alzheimer’s Disease in a highly collaborative environment. This individual will direct the development and maintenance of genome-wide association analysis (GWAS), and responsible for the development and maintenance of analysis pipelines using multi-omics data publicly available and generated from our own lab including transcriptomics, epigenetics, proteomics, and metabolomeics data; and integrate into genetic analysis pipelines, e.g, eQTL, pQTL, etc. In addition, they will respond to requests for analysis from faculty, postdocs, and collaborators; train students, postdocs, and faculty in pipeline use; and test and utilize new software and tools, modifying them as needed to adapt to specific research needs.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience.
