Job Description
Insight Global is sourcing for an Business Analyst to join an Executive Agency for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As the Senior Business Analyst you will lead technical and complex projects towards Energy and Environmental studies. You will work closely with the Project Manager's and technical leads to support both the application, infrastructure and networking functions of complex software development projects. To be successful in this role you must be comfortable in a technical and interactive setting. You will be working with Business Stakeholders to determine business needs in relation to application modifications or new builds. You will work with developers to explain business needs, partner with project managers to communicate overall stakeholder needs, along with data engineers to determine analytical and quantitative reasoning based on data elements. Someone who is analytical, a problem solver and embodies a team environment will be successful in this role. Compensation:
$55.71/hr to $65.71/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
7+ years in professional experience as a Business Analyst
- 4+ years utilizing Jira for documentation
- Comfortable using mathematical operations to interpret business data
- Experience working in a Waterfall and/or Agile environment
- Prior professional experience creating process flows in Visio (or similar tools to Visio)
- Can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prepare user stories, process flows, BDRs, FRDs, Wireframes and data mapping documents
- Obtains prior experience with JIRA, SharePoint or MS Office Suite - Experience with Power BI
- Hands on experience with Smartsheet
- Certified Business Analyst or Certified Scrum Master
