Our Business Development Executive (BDE) for Drug Product Oral Solid Dose (OSD) focuses on representing and acquiring new Development and Commercial OSD Drug Product Manufacturing Services business at Patheon, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific. This role is tasked with revenue growth through the development and implementation of strategies that generate sales from new and existing accounts in our Central US and Canada.

A day in the Life:

  • Identify new molecule opportunities with new and existing clients

  • Present our value proposition, key differentiators from our competition and areas for strategic bundling of our services across our business unit.

  • Analyze and understand the funding mechanisms, source, and flow for the small and emerging clients.

  • Attend tradeshows, conferences, and seminars to generate new leads.

  • Enable successful proposals and play a key role in the contract negotiation phase.

  • Manage, update, maintain and record all relevant activities in the CRM database, and share information and background on prospective clients within the territory to our partners.

Keys to Success

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a science related field and/or equivalent industry experience.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience, successful track record selling Drug Product Services.

  • Process Development/Commercial manufacturing experience is preferred.

  • Established contacts in major pharmaceutical organizations within your given territory.

  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to network within senior management ranks.

  • Proficient at handling Salesforce, Outlook, Teams, Zymewire and other sales tools.

  • Ability to travel within the defined territory, attend trade shows, team meetings etc. and work remotely from a home office.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $102,200.00–$139,400.00.
