Job Title: QA Technician
Location: Bothell, WA (Onsite)
Assignment Type: Temp
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (with potential OT until 4:30 PM; occasional Saturdays for up to 5 hours)
Pay Rate: $31.00-$31.00 per hour
Dress Code: Casual but appropriate wear; steel-toe shoes or boots required. No false eyelashes or nails, jewelry, or clothing with rips/tears.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our team at a leading manufacturing facility in Bothell, WA. The ideal candidate will perform mechanical and electrical inspections of cables, harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, and other products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. This role is onsite with no travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical & Electrical Inspection (65%) :Perform electro-mechanical inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished parts. Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Visual Inspections & Cleaning (20%) :Conduct visual inspections and cleaning operations on materials, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure functionality and quality.
Documentation (10%) :Record inspection results in reports and logs within the quality database. Consult with the manager on product quality issues and ensure accurate documentation.
Measurement Equipment Maintenance (5%) :Maintain measurement tools and equipment in good working order. Promote process improvements where necessary.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and product verification, including basic cosmetic inspection and ATP testing per engineering drawings, ECOs, and quality alerts.
Perform and document rejections for non-conforming parts and create reports as needed.
Verify configuration control and serial number accounting at the time of shipment.
Support MRB (Material Review Board) activities, including inspection of reworked product.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and company Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Provide inspection status reports to management as needed.
Occasionally rotate to other quality functions to support business needs.
Required Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
AA degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (e.g., technical school, apprenticeship, or military electronics training).
4+ years of experience in Quality Control/Inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Aerospace industry experience is a plus.
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, test procedures, and specifications.
Proficiency with mechanical measurement and electrical testing instruments.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 standards, and FAA Conformity processes.
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot or identify non-conformities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, and pull boxes or carts weighing between 5–50 lbs.
Must be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods as required by the job.
Ability to support overtime and work additional hours or weekends when necessary.
Desirable Qualifications:
Past experience supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Familiarity with 6S activities and process improvements.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Pay Details: $31.00 per hour
