Overview
As the Benefits Senior Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing support and project managementfor Benefits and other HR Operations functions. You will be the liaison between our subject matter expert vendors and our internal stakeholders.You will work closely with our People Partnership Team to help them respond to a range of HR topics promptly. Your attention to detail,impactful communication skills, and passion for service delivery excellence will be invaluable to your success at RMI. This position reports to the Senior People Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with RMI's Payroll team to ensureaccurate and timely payroll processing twice monthly
Collaborate with RMI's Benefits broker to supportthe update, implementation, andadministrationofallemployeebenefits programs, such as group health, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, retirement, COBRA, wellness, and rewards and recognition programs
Oversee RMI's annual Benefits open enrollment in partnership with RMI's Benefits broker
Process and keep accuraterecords of leave of absences such as parental leave, FMLA, sabbaticals and accommodations. Support and administer global employees' leave of absence in partnership with RMI's Employer of Record (EOR)vendors
Partner with internal stakeholders and external employment vendors to compile data for compliance initiatives, including but not limited toEEO, AAP, updating the U.S.Employee Handbook and employment poster compliance for all locations
Manage the immigration and EOR mail inboxes by answering questions from employees in partnership with RMI's Immigration attorneys and EOR vendors, and escalate internally when appropriate
Re-verify I-9s for U.S. employees with a visa and ensuring global employees receive necessary U.S. work authorization in partnership with RMI's Immigration attorneys
Act as main point of contact for all employee benefits, leave of absence, compliance, EOR, and immigration matters by managing RMI's Workday Help desk and ensuring all questions are handledin a timely manner. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external expert vendors to ensuretimely responses and customer service quality
Provide general HR administrative support, including but not limited to processing U.S. unemployment and worker's compensation claims, and producing employment verification letters
Update and maintain highly confidential HR data,conducting audits of benefit programs for accuracy and compliance
Create and maintain guidance documentation and standard operating procedures in the areas outlined above in partnership with external vendors and key internal stakeholders
Work collaboratively and effectively across all HR functions (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development,and People Experience) to drive HR priorities and initiatives

Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years of human resources experience, with an emphasis on processing payroll,benefits and leaves of absence
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Experience with a globally disbursed workforce
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Minimum 1 year of experience using Workday HCM

Previous customer experience preferred
Ability to comprehend, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
