Job Summary

The Renee Crown Wellness Institute at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a dedicated Program Manager to oversee administrative duties and tasks for the mind.body.voice. (m.b.v.) research study. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes, coordinating participant enrollment through REDCap, maintaining relationships with community partners, and providing administrative support to the research team.

Who We Are

The Renee Crown Wellness Institute is seeking a dedicated Professional Research Assistant to support the facilitation of the mind.body.voice. (m.b.v.) program for middle school and high school students. This individual will play a key role in coordinating m.b.v. sessions across various school districts and community organizations in the Boulder, Denver metro, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for youth wellness, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.

Research Project Managers generally work in a collaborative role with the principal investigator and contribute substantively to the investigation and analysis of the project. As a collaborator on the project, the Research Project Manager may receive full credit as co-author of publications and technical reports, and shares responsibilities in the research setting. The Research Project Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing research timelines, deliverables, and documentation.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Research Activities

  • Work with investigators and m.b.v. team to identify and complete administrative study activities, such as scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, and purchasing necessary study materials

  • Contribute to research planning and study development, demonstrating a strong working knowledge of current research methods and relevant literature

  • Work within the research and administrative policies and procedures for the University including but not limited to Institutional Review Board protocols, compliance reporting, and maintaining appropriate certifications

  • Interact with current and/or potential research participants for required research activities, such as participant recruitments, consents, screening, data collection, study participation, and exit interviews

  • Ensure the integrity of data collection and management systems by contributing to aspects of the programming, design, and management of online data collection systems and platforms

  • Conduct ongoing real-time audits and monitoring of data quality to ensure research integrity of study measurement procedures and data collection

  • Participate in qualitative and quantitative data analyses, including managing raw data files and preparing datasets for analysis (e.g., data entry/transcription, coding, data quality checks, data cleaning, data merging, reshaping, ID linking, documenting final cleaned datasets)

  • Work with investigators to contribute to the analysis and interpretation of study data as well as the preparation of study reports, presentations, and manuscripts

  • Train, supervise and work with undergraduate facilitators or new study personnel

  • Participate in Institute-wide activities such as updating Institute databases, communicating study-specific information back to Institute teams and leadership, attending Institute meetings and workshops, working with Institute teams such as Communications to update website or outreach coordinator for event planning and contributing to the culture and values of the Institute

  • Manage study IRB protocols and project documents

  • Contribute to the writing of manuscripts, funding proposals, and study documentation

  • Assist in the writing of manuscripts, funding proposals, and study documentation

  • Support the maintenance of relationships with community partners to support research objectives

Project Management

  • Develop research project plans/project roadmaps, using backwards planning to develop timelines for project milestones based on the project end date

  • Effectively utilize project management materials, processes, and systems, demonstrating a strong understanding of project management best practices

  • Maintain an Asana board to manage and track progress for the project timeline, deliverables, and action items.

  • Prepare and/or organizes project documents and materials

  • Schedule team meetings and maintain agendas and action items

  • Coordinate to manage all groups within the m.b.v. research team to ensure successful and timely completion of project milestones

  • Coordinate on the planning and execution of data collection and associated timelines

  • Communicate with internal and external partners on project objectives and timelines

  • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with project team members

What You Should Know

  • This is a Hybrid position and expected to be in office two days a week.

What We Can Offer

The salary range for this position is $57,849 - $67,684. Relocation assistant may be available.

What We Require

  • Bachelors degree in a social science, preferably psychology, statistics or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of relevant research experience, relevant project management experience, or a combination of research, project management, and administrative experience.
