Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Bowling Green, Kentucky

Description

We are offering a 12 week AP project with a machinery manufacturing industry located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. You will also be responsible for monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Oracle for data entry and invoice processing tasks

• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate record keeping

• Use QuickBooks and SAP for check runs and coding invoices

• Act as a primary contact for vendors, addressing and rectifying any discrepancies

• Apply tech-savvy skills to efficiently manage high volume, full cycle Accounts Payable tasks

• Ensure all tasks and responsibilities are completed according to industry standards and within the company's guidelines.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the machinery manufacturing industry.

• Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP).

• Proven experience in Check Runs and Coding Invoices.

• Proficiency in Data Entry and Invoice Processing.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with PeachTree

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information.

• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantageous.
