Collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer, General Manager and department heads to prioritize projects and implement preventive maintenance strategies that uphold our brand's high standards. Responsibilities

  • You will lead the maintenance team to ensure all hotel equipment and facilities are operating efficiently, scheduling regular inspections and necessary repairs.

  • We expect you to develop preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of our assets, ensuring guest satisfaction and safety.

  • You shall collaborate with various departments to address and resolve maintenance-related concerns promptly, enhancing overall operations and guest experience.

  • You will manage inventory for maintenance supplies by tracking usage and ordering replacements proactively to avoid disruptions in service.

  • We expect you to oversee compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting inspections and training staff on best practices.

  • You shall coordinate external contractors for specialized services, ensuring that work is completed within budget and meets Holiday Inn Bowling Green standards.

  • You will maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, providing reports that support decision-making and strategic planning.

  • We expect you to innovate approaches to optimize energy efficiency across the hotel, contributing to sustainability goals and cost savings.

Requirements

  • You must demonstrate expertise in managing and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other essential hotel systems to ensure optimal functionality at all times.

  • We require you to be adept at diagnosing complex mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions promptly to minimize downtime.

  • You should have the ability to lead a diverse maintenance team by providing clear instructions, fostering teamwork, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.

  • You need to coordinate with hotel management to schedule regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

  • We expect you to possess strong negotiation skills for liaising with vendors and contractors to secure cost-effective service agreements and manage external resources efficiently.

  • You are responsible for developing and overseeing a comprehensive maintenance budget, allocating resources appropriately to maintain high operational standards within financial constraints.

  • You will manage inventory levels of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring availability and readiness for routine and emergency repairs.
