What you’ll do:

As a Benefits Coordinator, you willassist with the administration of Company Benefit Plans to ensure compliance for tuition reimbursement, education assistance, and family leave plans. Works closely with benefit vendors to ensure proper plan administration and plan eligibility criteria. Partners with HR department managers and employees to ensure accurate program communication and to address escalated employee benefits questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and accurately communicate multiple plan designs across multiple facilities.
  • Oversee the daily administration of the Lifepoint Health benefit programs, including but not limited to: Education Assistance, Tuition Reimbursement, Disability, and Family Leave.
  • Responsible for the analysis and resolution of escalated case tickets, emails, and phone calls related to benefits issues stemming from administered plans, including identifying the root cause, understanding downstream impact and implementing resolutions.
  • Process tuition reimbursement and education assistance applications on a weekly basis. Review applications for appropriate eligibility criteria, review educational transcripts, calculate appropriate reimbursement amounts, and coordinate manager approval.
  • Serve as a resource to managers and HR staff, as well as other members of the Hospital Support Center (HSC), facility HR department and employees with respect to all aspects of family leave and disability, including participation in New Hire Orientation and Merger and Acquisition (M&A) activities.
  • Act as a liaison for managers and disability insurance carriers. Provide updates regarding the status of disability claim reviews and proactively follow up with HR staff and colleagues on items that require further research.
  • Communicate with benefit carriers regarding plan design changes and proper administration.
  • Assist with creating and analyzing routine and ad hoc reporting related to administered benefit plans including utilization reports for education assistance and family leave.
  • Assist benefits team with annual enrollment eligibility and pricing audits. Participate in user acceptance testing and review accuracy of annual benefit premium updates.
  • Support annual and ongoing enrollment activities in partnership with the Benefits Service team.

What you’ll need:

EDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:Minimum 3 years of related experience
