Duties | | | include using, supplying or | | | holding materials or tools, and | | | cleaning work area and equipment. | | | Carpenter Helpers will be | | | required to perform a ariety of | | | duties as directed by the | | | carpenter or RandM Manager. | | | | | | *YOUR | | | DAY-TO-DAY:*(Reasonable | | | accommodations may be made to | | | enable individuals with | | | disabilities to perform the | | | essential functions of the | | | job)** | | | | | | - Assist Carpenters in | | | construction of framework, as | | | well as, repair, and | | | maintenance of permanent and | | | temporary structures. | | | - Assist carpenter in laying | | | out work. Learn to perform | | | lay-out independently. | | | - Follow established jobsite | | | safety regulations. Recognize | | | and report potential safety | | | issues. | | | - Clean work areas, machines, | | | and equipment, to maintain a | | | safe and productive jobsite. | | | - Select tools, equipment and | | | materials needed for the days | | | task and transport them to | | | work area. | | | - Help set up and move work | | | areas when necessary. | | | - Be aware of task ahead and | | | make sure the proper PPE is | | | on hand. | | | - Ability to place and finish | | | small quantities of concrete | | | (housekeeping pads, stoops, | | | sidewalks, etc.) | | | - Insure the work area remains | | | stocked with materials being | | | used and tools needed. | | | - Assist in demolition | | | activities as required to | | | perform safely. | | | - Clean work area and restock | | | supplies/materials as | | | necessary; assist to lift, | | | position, secure cutting of | | | materials and work-pieces | | | during installation | | | - Learn to use appropriate hand | | | and power tools to assist |
