Job Summary:

Waters Construction Company has an immediate opening for drivers who are Safe, Smart, Positive, Respectful and Adaptable with a valid Class A CDL License. Drivers will operate our manual transmission triaxle dump trucks, hauling materials to and from our projects throughout CT.

What Youll Do:

• Operate tri-axle dump truck safely and efficiently on public highways and in off-road situations to deliver asphalt and aggregate material to and from job sites. The operator will also haul other materials as needed such as rock, soils, mulch, brush, etc.
• Perform pre-trip inspections
• Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment as well as always keeping it clean and serviceable.
• Report all equipment malfunctions to maintenance staff.

What Youll Need:

• A Have a current Class A CDL license with an excellent safety driving record. (Tanker endorsement preferred)
• Must have at least Five (5) years experience driving triaxles.
• Excellent Communicator.
• Ability to work Night shifts
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to clean and grease own truck.
• Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Keep accurate logs of deliveries and time worked.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSHA regulations and Company Safety and Policy Rules.
• Positive Attitude.
• Should have reliable transportation.
• Understand that this would require you to work Eight (8) to Nine (9) Months of the year with a Three (3) to Four (4) month layoff period.
• This would require the inability to take any summer vacations.
• Must be a team player with a can-do attitude.
• Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time-management skills.
