Software Development Engineer 2, IQVIA Inc., Bridgewater, NJ. May telecommute within commuting distance of Bridgewater, NJ worksite to attend project meetings or work onsite when needed. Design and develop distributed applications to process petabytes of the health care datalake application. Develop data models for applications, metadata tables, views, or related database structures. Design database applications, such as interfaces, data transfer mechanisms, global temporary tables, data partitions, and function-based indexes to enable efficient access of the generic database structure. Implement scalable modern micro-service architecture solutions and conduct workshops to educate teams within the business unit on the developed solutions. Evaluate, schedule, and resource development projects; investigate user needs; and document, test and maintain computer programs. Design and develop complex algorithms for processing data and generating various business intelligence (BI) reports. Design databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability. Lead the development of data engineering, ensuring project delivery while taking responsibility for applying standards, best principles in delivering the quality software. Research emerging technologies to determine if applying to current software solution can increase the software’s efficiency and effectiveness. M-F, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (EST). Salary Range: $95,069 - $181,300/year. Requires at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field or foreign equivalent. Requires one (1) year development, systems engineering, software management, or related experience to include one (1) year: Java, C#, JavaScript, and SQL; J2EE, .NET, Red Hat, JBoss, or Data Virtualization; SOAP, REST, WCF, and JAX-WS; MS SQL Server, MySQL, or MongoDB; ASP.NET MVC, LINQ, Spring, Struts, NHibernate, Entity Framework, jQuery, JUnit, NUnit, JCrawler, or Selenium; utilizing APIs like PayPal API, JDBC, or ADO.NET; Eclipse, Visual Studio, IdeaJ, and SoapUI; writing detailed designs; performing code reviews; utilizing knowledge of Jira; Jenkins (CI/CD pipeline deployment); Agile SDLA; gathering and analyzing conceptual and detail design, and hands-on development.
