Job Purpose

To provide support and assistance for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives of the enterprise-wide gas distribution and transmission.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop designs for both new assets and modifications to the gas transportation system in accordance with legislation, industry standards, company policies and procedures.
  • Develop engineering proposals for pipeline diversions and new connections onto the gas transmission system.
  • Provide technical advice and support within own discipline to other parts of the business.
  • Deliver and contribute to the challenge and review process for all new engineering projects.
  • Develop and gain approval of project scope, cost estimate and schedule.
  • Prepare project documentation, including corporate sanctioning paper where required.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure, remaining calm and focused on the task at hand.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  • 3 years+ of engineering, design and project management experience
  • Understanding of design and construction standards, engineering drawings, and underground construction methods and procedures
  • Knowledge of OSHA, PHMSA, NYS, MA or RI regulations

Salary - $106,000 - $125,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
